Nebraska Hunter Education Course

There will be a Nebraska Hunter Education Course beginning Saturday, October 4, 2008 at the Ogallala Trap Range Clubhouse.  Classes will be held on October 4, 5, 11, 18, and 19, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. each night. 

Nebraska requires that persons 12 through 29 years of age must have successfully completed a state-certified hunter education course prior to hunting in Nebraska, and have their valid hunter education card in their possession while hunting.  Firearm Hunter Education is required when hunting any game with a firearm.  Firearm Hunter Education is also required for those hunting with a crossbow.  

There is no charge for the class and all materials are provided.  The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, the Big Mac Sports Club, and the Ogallala Police Department sponsor this class.
